Niton village is at the southern tip of the island, so it benefits fully from the famous Isle of Wight microclimate. It is consistently warmer and sunnier than almost the whole of the U.K.
The area is full of thatched cottages and quaint little shops and fine local pubs with good ales and food.
Niton attracts walkers and hikers, as there are some great walks by the cliffs and coast line, which are great for beginners and advanced hikers alike.
The
Buddle Inn is the local pub to the chalet, and is about 10 minutes walk
away. It's a 15th Century smuggler's inn, which oozes character and warmth.
In the summer you can sit out in the sun with a cool drink and in the winter
you can sit by the open fire and relax. It serves local beer, great food and
local bands give great entertainment on some evenings. We highly recommend
the Buddle!
